How does this work?

Animal Necessity Gift Cards are virtual. We do not ship physical cards when you order. Each Gift Card Claim Code is 14 characters and always starts with "AN". These codes can be used towards the purchase of any product on our website.


How do I purchase a gift card on AnimalNecessity.com?

Simply go to our gift card section, add the card(s) you'd like to purchase to your cart, and then checkout!


How do I use a gift card on AnimalNecessity.com?

To use our gift cards, please follow these steps:

  1. Log in to your account. If you do not have an account with us, please create one first.
  2. Once logged in, navigate to your account home.
  3. In the purple box, please click the orange button "Apply New Gift Card / View History" to view your gift card history.
  4. Enter your gift card in the blank box and hit "Submit". If the gift card is valid and it hasn't already been applied to another account, it will show up in the history area upon submission and your gift balance will increase.
  5. Once done, your gift card is automatically added to your cart when you check out with any of our products.

Once I've applied a gift card to my account, can I un-apply it?

No. Once a gift card has been added to your account it is permanent.


Can I have multiple gift cards applied to my account?

Yes! Your gift card balance will increase each time you add apply a new gift card to your account.


What if my gift card balance is worth more than my order?

The total amount of your order will be deducted from your gift card balance. If you have balance remaining, it will remain in your account until you use it again.


What if my gift card balance doesn't cover the amount on my entire order?

We will ask you for a payment method if your gift card does not cover the entire order total.


Can I add a gift card to an Auto-Ship?

Gift cards can be lumped in initially with any Auto-Ship order you create with our products, but your future Auto-Ship orders will not contain the gift cards, only the physical products you ordered. Also, your future Auto-Ship order total will be for physical products only and will not contain any gift cards.


How do gift cards work with returns?

If you paid for a order with a gift card and need to return the product, we will issue you another gift card for the same amount you made the initial purchase with. If you used both a gift card and a payment method, each will be refunded in the same amount as they were charged.


How do I get help fast?
